Star of Sage & Scream was released this month, and I’m happy to say you all seem to like it. You really like it! I’m working on Owl’s Fair (Book 2), which is coming out in late June and added the preorder for Book 4, Heavy Meddle Magic. Book 4 will come out just before Halloween, so that will definitely be our first Halloween-themed entry into the series. I want to thank all my readers for giving the new series a chance. Magical Midway was moderately successful in that it sold briskly, but it never really knocked it out of the park. Mystic’s End was far more successful than I anticipated, but since it had a defined arc the ending was inevitable (even though it was selling well!) As I’ve said before, ending a successful series is a little bit terrifying—especially when it’s your first really successful one. Owl Star Witch has started out stronger than anything I’ve released before—so thank you for helping me avoid a fear-induced nervous breakdown! 🙂 The reception has been awesome, and I’m glad you like it.

Astra Arden‘s first outing will be a little earlier than planned. I was going to rapid release the first two books but have decided to go ahead and send Star of Sage & Scream out into the world in May, with the follow up coming out in June on its current release date. Star of Sage & Scream‘s tentative release will be May 20th, though it’s moving through the editing and formatting process pretty quickly, so I may send it out even earlier. Feedback from the beta readers and my editor has been pretty good. Okay, I may be understating it—several folks have said this is the best book yet, so I’m pretty confident you’ll like it. Since I’m a writer plagued by insecurities, it takes a lot for me to make that claim. 😁 Hope you’ve gotten your Covid shot and are moving towards getting back out into the world!

Thanks so much for making the final book in the Mystic’s End series such a success! Captive Magic had the highest number of preorders of any book I’ve ever released, which was really, really cool. I’ve gotten a lot of feedback that the ending was pretty satisfying for most of you, and I’m super glad of that. Ending a series people love is never easy. As a reminder (again), a new series starring Astra Arden will begin this June. There’ll be an extra month between the last book in Mystic’s End and the beginning of the new series, but there will be two books out in June to make up for it. I hope you’re looking forward to the new series!  

Just a few weeks away from the release of the very last book in the Mystic’s End series! Captive Magic is currently with the ARC team, and we’ve just sent out the email to the mailing list for the giveaway. I’ve gotten some private feedback from readers that it was a satisfying wrap-up to the 8-book series, and I hope you’ll agree. As a reminder, the new series starring Astra Arden will begin this June. We’re just forty-six days away from the release of the very last book in the Mystic’s End series! Captive Magic is being finished up as I write this. It’s been bittersweet to work on bringing a series home that’s been so popular with readers, and I hope you feel the characters’ stories end in a place that seems unforeseen and totally perfect for them. Astra Arden‘s story begins early this summer, and I’m also really excited to get to work on a new set of characters in a different setting.
