2.5 to 3 stars... I wanted to love this book especially since it is the series finale, but unfortunately that was not the case... For me, this read felt disjointed... The focus lacked clarity and direction; once again Charlotte whined and complained at every turn never truly stepping up to the leadership position that she was meant to take; the 200 year old battle between the gods that started all the problems in the first place was solved in a five minute discussion; for some unknown reason, the cats became a central focus; and what in the world happened to the incredibly important scroll???... I will say that the final chapters held some hope with the ending for our characters being one of hope and change and of course some pleasant surprises, but overall I just did not connect with the read and am sad that the series, for me, ended with two books that I disliked:(

**No Spoiler Review**

I am not going to go over the overview nor am I going to give any spoilers, I hate when it happens to me so I am not going to do it to you. What I am going to do is beseech you to read this book. If you have anything invested in the Magical Midway or even The Makepeace Circus then this book is a must.

To say I could not put it down would be putting it lightly, I even ATE MY DINNER reading this installment.
There are tears, and anger and a cacophony of other emotions both in the book and that was invoked in me, the reader which ultimately is a sign of a great author.
This is an amazing Finale it ties up every loose string plus a few I had not though of in a really incredible and inventive way!
If you have not read this series please please read it from book 1, it will make the fantasticness if this book all the better!

Charlotte's choice..

When everything seems to come to a head and Eiggam abandons Mina World as his champion things are going to get worse before they can get better, especially when he gives Gunther his power and tries to set the ringmasters against each other. But Gunther decides to trap both Maggie and Eiggam within a box created from the forcefield that surrounds the two circuses. As the circus folk begin to blame each other for the situation they are in, then Gunther makes a decision that takes away his ringmaster powers which only appears to add fuel to the fire. Advice is coming from all angles and it seems that it's now all resting on Charlotte's shoulders.. can she do the right thing? Should she save the now joined Makepeace Magical Midway circus as they want her to or is there another way?

Exceptional characters. The supernatural beings were awesome. Charlotte and Gunther are now the ringmasters of their respective circuses and they have been flooded with unimaginable magic and power. But they can’t be together. They are married but there is a barrier stopping them from touching. And their idea of joining the circuses has been met with distrust, anger, and outright rioting. No one is happy, and the two gods who gave them their powers are the worst of all. Everyone has an opinion about what Charlotte and Gunther should do, and some have an agenda. But who can they trust and what should they do? I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Charlotte and Gunther are married by accident, but still have to figure out how to overcome their opposing Ringmaster qualities and how to fix the situation with Eiggam and Maggie. A brilliant solution to a drama spanning 8 books in total. I am sad to see the circus go, but glad for Charlotte and Gunther to finally be just them and have their own life.
Although this is the final book there are still lots of surprises in store for the reader, and like the other stories of the Magical Midway Circus, it is an emotional roller coaster - from hilarious to sad, to mysterious and thrilling, the author mixes a fine blend to make this series enjoyable.

Charlotte and Gunther are married and the two circuses have been combined, but things are not peaceful between the two. The residents of the two circuses are fighting and threatening each other. The familiars, Samson and Delilah, have their own battle going on. All of the Galenite witch cats disappear overnight and no one can figure out what happened to cause this!

Is peace possible in the paranormal community? You will definitely want to read this book because it ties up all the loose ends readers have been watching throughout the series. Grab your copy and see how this chaos can be resolved!

Final book in the Series.

The ringmasters of two separate magical circus are now married. How do they merge the circus and get all to get along. This is the premise of this book (for final ending) and full of surprises. It will keep you on your toes. I loved the surprises.

This is my second book is this series. I did follow the book and reads well if you keep to current story line for those of us who are reading it as a stand alone story. There are references to previous books, so will probably want to go back and get caught up.

This is my honest and freely given review. I did receive an ARC book.

And this ends the series. The road to culmination was a little rocky, even in this, the last of the series. But we get a lesson in self-determination and feminism and polysci ... what else can a fantasy hope to provide? I think it all went on a little too long. I think that the MC ought to have managed to grow up some during the course of the series. I think that the notion she was expected to save everybody's world ought to have had more of her friends and acquaintances incredibly worried. While the concept was interesting and unique and the cast of characters extremely varies, it was not great. It isn't something I'd be likely to read again.

Will the last two circuses survive?

What a roller coaster! Sampson and Delilah are at odds with each other. The residents of the two circuses are fighting and threatening to eat each other.Charlotte and Gunther are married! And what happened to all the Galenite witch cats? Will anyone end up with a happily ever after? Will all the paranormals survive? What a great addition to a really fun series! I have read and loved every book in the series. The characters have become old friends.

The eighth and final book in the spellbinding Magical Midway paranormal cozy mystery series. A well written mystery that kept me turning pages, I had to know what was going to happen. The surprises, the God almost no one knew about, the marriage of Charlotte Astley and Gunther Makepeace, the new location of the Magical Midway, and the biggest surprise was Roland Phillip Makepeace. What a way to end this series. If you have been following this series this book is a must read. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Great Ending To Unique Series
This is a very satisfying ending to a wonderfully different paranormal series. All aspects of the series were covered. Questions were answered that I hadn't even asked yet! This is a series to read in order or the reader will miss too much. I can't wait to see what this author comes up with next. I received this ARC book for free from Booksprouts and this is my honest review.

Perfect

This was a perfect ending for this series with so many unexpected twist. I loved it. Leeds has one of the most fantastical imaginations. I have no idea how she dreams up her ideas but they are amazing. The entire series is full of interesting mystery plots that are wonderfully unique. This series is unlike any other paranormal series I've read and I've read many. Highly recommended!

Bitterness and Betrayals
It's hard enough to cope with a difficult life thrust at you out of nowhere, but to add gods to it makes things move at quantum speed! Nothing is ever as it seems...in the real world or the magical one. All one can do is roll with the punches and keep on keeping on. Another great story! Well done! The twists and turns will make your head spin!

So good!

I got the first book of this series because it was on Kindle Unlimited. It looked interesting. Now that I've read every book, it was better than interesting. It was so good! I ignored the grammatical errors, but there are many. I just let myself enjoy the story. It was crazy and convoluted but I thoroughly enjoyed it. Excellent!

A satisfying conclusion

Its been awhile since I've finished binge reading a series, with a sigh. The way this story concluded just felt good and right to me. I especially liked Samson's growth, but his status change was probably unnecessary, in my opinion. Overall, I enjoyed each book, & will continue reading this author.

I read the Mystic's End mysteries by this author and liked them so I went back and started the Magical Midway series. Unfortunately I found this series juvenile and the characters not realistic or very like able. I disliked the ending of this book so much I am still thinking about it a week later. I understand this is a cozy mystery and am not expecting to find sexual situations portrayed in the story. I would also expect that adults who care about each other and are almost 30 could have sex and have it not be a big deal. The lengths that Ms. Leeds goes to keep our hero and heroine apart are the most ridiculous imaginable and not consistent within the world building. And how the baby shows up at the end of the story! Oh my word, it is so stupid I am still thinking about it!

Ms. Leeds seems to be a good writer and as I said I like the Mystic's End series. She could still work on consistent world building and more adult, filled out characters.

A difficult review to write without including spoilers! This last book is heart wrenching and all the more because it is the end of the series, but it certainly does not disappoint. Totally 5 stars.
