This website (leanneleeds.com) is the author home of Leanne Leeds, operated by Badchen Publishing. This policy explains what information is collected when you visit, what it's used for, and the choices you have. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to send the newsletter, run the site, and let readers reach the books.
The site is operated by Badchen Publishing ("we," "us," "our"), 2709 N Hayden Island Dr, STE 103131, Portland, Oregon, 97217, USA. The website is a static site with no user accounts, no logins, and no on-site comment system.
When you subscribe to the newsletter, you provide your email address. It's used only to send you new-release news, the occasional free story, and cozy behind-the-scenes updates. Email is stored and delivered through MailerLite, our email service provider. Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time.
If you use the Booboo Bounty form to report a typo, we collect your name and email address along with the details of the error (the book, what it said, and the correction). We use your email to follow up if we have a question and to send your bounty reward — a free copy of the next release — through BookFunnel. These reports are collected through a Google Form and stored in Google Sheets.
We use the Meta (Facebook) Pixel to understand how visitors find the site and to measure the effectiveness of book advertising. The pixel may set cookies and collect information such as pages viewed and books of interest, associated with your Meta account if you have one. For visitors in the EU/EEA and UK, the pixel loads only after you consent through the cookie notice.
Like most websites, our hosting and content-delivery providers (Sevalla/Kinsta and Cloudflare) automatically record standard technical log data — such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested — to serve the site securely and protect against abuse. We don't use these logs to identify individual readers.
Buy buttons on this site route through Geniuslink, which sends you to your local retailer (usually Amazon) and applies an affiliate tag. As an Amazon Associate, we may earn a small commission from qualifying purchases, at no extra cost to you. Following a buy link takes you to that retailer's site, where their own privacy policy applies.
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. This site uses them mainly for the Meta Pixel described above and to remember your cookie-consent choice. You can refuse or delete cookies in your browser settings; some third-party features may not work if you do. EU/EEA and UK visitors are asked to consent before any non-essential cookies are set.
Each of these providers processes data under its own privacy policy. We share only what's necessary for the service to work, and we don't sell your personal information.
We keep your newsletter email for as long as you stay subscribed; when you unsubscribe, you're removed from active mailing. Booboo Bounty reports are kept while we work through corrections. Technical logs are retained by our providers for their standard, limited periods.
You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in any email. Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR in Europe or the CCPA in California), you may also have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal data we hold about you, and to object to certain processing. This site is intended for adults and is not directed to anyone under 18. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
We take reasonable, commercially accepted measures to protect your information. No method of transmission over the internet is ever completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security, but we work to keep what little we collect safe.
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes may also be noted in the newsletter.
