What’s an ARC?
An advance reader copy is a free, promotional copy of a book that’s in the process of being published, but has yet to be released.
Why would I want one?
Well, it’s free. The copy you’re given comes at no cost to you. Free books rock. It’s also distributed two weeks before the general public can buy the book, so that’s kinda cool.
What’s the catch?
The reason authors give away copies is in the hopes that the early readers will give an honest review of the book on storefronts. It always helps the book to start out with reviews that, upon release, may take a while to come in. ARC Teams help us get a head start on that.
Okay, what do I have to do?
Be an active book reviewer already, share the links to your awesome reviews on Amazon and Goodreads, and if you give good, solid reviews (good or bad) in our genre, there’s a good chance you’ll be picked. We’ll email you more info then.
