Oops. I forgot to post that I have a new book out here.

Okay, I have to admit, blogs seem almost redundant nowadays. Between all the social media thangs (see all the things in the downbelow) I often forget this blog thing is even here. I primarily put it up for people to have a place to catch up on recent stuff if they miss a newsletter email or… Well, whatever. So, yeah. I forget this is here pretty frequently.

On the off chance that someone is actually subscribed to this via RSS – hey! Book 6 in the Magical Midway is out! (Um, like two weeks ago, but still.)

You can grab Book 6 anywhere and everywhere – and if you missed any releases, grab em! I’ll try to be better with updating. I probably won’t be, but I promise to try.

Google Play issues continuing Fixed.

Google Play required some changes in the way that they listed books coming through an aggregator, and though we made those changes well in advance of their deadline, the Magical Midway books have not been listed on Google Play since April 12th. Though we’ve made contact with them a few times and have been assured whatever review process we’re stuck in takes 7 days, 12 days later we find the books are still unavailable.

Folks that read on Google Play can currently purchase the books through our Payhip store and then upload the epub to their Google Play account by using the directions here if you’re at a point where you need the next book and you don’t want to wait.

If you’d prefer to do it the easy way, please know that we’re doing everything we can to nudge Google Play into processing the books when they stated they would do so, and we apologize for the inconvenience.

All fixed!

Going Wide Transition Update – Aggregation Pain

Unfortunately, my jump to another publishing aggregator did not go as well as I’d hoped.

For some reason, the new aggregator could not get the pricing correct for international readers on Apple, and this caused a cascading number of problems from Bookbub to Amazon’s price matching. The new aggregator was not as responsive as I would have liked to correct the issue, and so I made the decision this morning to return to my old aggregator. While I’m moving over we’re going to go ahead and assign our own ISBNs to them in hopes we’ll avoid these issues in the future.

Book sales on Amazon and Kobo are mostly unaffected. International stores on Amazon, however, may not show Book 1 as free, and Book 1 could revert as we’re making this move despite it still being free at Kobo. Google Play, Barnes and Noble, and iBooks will be down for several days as all books are pulled by one aggregator and re-uploaded by another. Smashwords will be unaffected.

My sincere apologies about this. I’m pretty unhappy with the situation, and I hope returning to a more responsive aggregator will stabilize all this going forward.

“Going Wide” Transition Update

Some author backend technical mumbo jump coming up.

I’m currently moving the ebooks from one aggregator to another. This means that on some storefronts the ebooks for Magical Midway are unavailable as they get processed through their new origin. They are currently available on Amazon, Kobo, and Smashwords. Hopefully, they’ll be back up on Barnes and Noble, Apple, and Google Play swiftly.

Leanne Leeds Leaving KindleUnlimited

After quite a bit of thought, I’ve decided to leave KindleUnlimited and release the Magical Midway series at other retailers in addition to Amazon. I’ll be penning a post as to my reasoning in a bit, and I want to apologize to any readers that this inconveniences. The books will all be unavailable by the end of the day – I did ask for a week’s delay, and Amazon agreed, but someone was apparently a little quick on the draw up there.

My newsletter subscribers will be receiving an email outlining how readers who started the series will be able to finish it at no cost to them. If you haven’t signed up, I encourage you to do so!
